Role: Bookkeeper
Working Hours: 9am - 5pm EST
Location: Remote - South Africa
Salary: R22 000 - R23 000
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper with hands-on experience using QuickBooks. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping skills, excellent communication abilities, and a professional manner when communicating with clients and colleagues.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping entries.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards and financial statements.
- Manage invoices, payments and expense records.
- Assist with month-end reporting and financial documentation.
- Maintain organised and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial transactions.
- Communicate professionally with clients, suppliers and internal teams.
- Assist with additional accounting and administrative tasks as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Bookkeeper or in a similar bookkeeping role.
- Hands-on experience using QuickBooks is essential.
- Good understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial recordkeeping.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Clear, confident and professional telephone manner.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant office applications.
