Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing medical assistant procedures after completion of competency within organizations MA scope of work, under the supervision of a provider and PHS policy.
- Assists with procedures as determined by provider
- Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
- Basic foot care
- May perform regulatory audits as designated by the Clinic Manger
- Assists with visit closure
- Participates with care team to meet patient care and clinic needs, working cooperatively with others to accomplish required work in a timely and efficient manner
- May perform scribe duties after completing PMG scribe training
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior Healthcare experience preferred
- Successful completion of Presbyterian MA Advanced Skills Training within 12 months of hire
- BLS (AHA, Red Cross or ASHI Healthcare Provider) required
- Maintains current certifications in required emergency response trainings (i.e. BLS) *Completes all Organizational, Department of Nursing and Department-Specific competency training/requirements within specified timeframe
