Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Business Director to lead one of our key accounts, driving client relationships, business growth and the delivery of integrated media solutions that generate measurable business impact.

The role requires a strong combination of strategic thinking, commercial acumen, media expertise and people leadership. You will act as a trusted partner to senior client stakeholders, providing strategic direction and ensuring our work delivers against the client's wider business and marketing objectives.

You will lead a team across planning, digital, performance, and data functions, overseeing the delivery of campaigns while ensuring the account operates efficiently and to the highest standards.  Working closely with regional teams, you will ensure regional strategies and priorities are effectively translated into local market plans, driving alignment, consistency and strong execution in market.

Key Responsibilities

Client Leadership & Business Growth

• Lead client relationships, building trust and positioning the agency as a strategic business partner rather than simply a media delivery partner
• Develop a deep understanding of the client's business, commercial priorities, category dynamics and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth
• Provide strategic counsel to senior stakeholders, proactively challenging briefs, shaping recommendations and bringing forward new opportunities
• Take overall accountability for client satisfaction and service quality

Media Strategy & Integrated Planning

• Provide leadership across integrated media strategy and planning, ensuring activity is aligned with client business objectives and delivers measurable outcomes
• Oversee media investment across online and offline channels, including digital, social, search, programmatic, video, OOH and emerging platforms
• Ensure audience insights, market intelligence, competitive activity and performance data inform recommendations and investment decisions
• Identify opportunities to improve media effectiveness through innovation, partnerships, technology, first-party data and advanced measurement
  

Commercial & Operational Management

• Manage P&L and ensure commercial growth, efficiency, and profitability
• Ensure strong financial governance across media budgets, billing, reconciliations, contractual commitments and commercial agreements
• Work closely with trading teams to maximise value from media partners and ensure commercially competitive solutions

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, motivate and develop a team, setting clear expectations and creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance
• Provide direction and guidance to senior team members while empowering them to take ownership of their respective functions
• Ensure the right team structure, capabilities and resources are in place to meet evolving client and business requirements
• Foster collaboration across local and regional teams, ensuring clear ways of working and prioritisations.

Skills & Experience

• 12–15 years of experience in media or integrated communications, ideally within global media agency network
• Proven experience leading large client accounts and working with regional teams
• Strong track record in senior client leadership & relationship management
• Extensive understanding of integrated media strategy and planning across online and offline channels, with particularly strong digital and performance media knowledge
• Strong commercial acumen and P&L management capability  
• Proven experience leading and developing teams
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to influence client stakeholders
• Highly organized and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders
