The core responsibilities of this role include:
- Dispatch and coordinate drivers and delivery routes.
- Manage driver schedules and communicate route changes.
- Sort, scan, and organize delivery bags accurately and efficiently.
- Adjust routes based on volume and operational needs.
- Maintain accurate routing and delivery information within company systems.
- Assist with emergency deliveries or routes when needed.
- Maintain basic office and operational supplies.
Position: Dispatcher
Shift: Monday - Friday, 11a - 6p
Pay: $21.00 per hour

- High-energy, dependable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to learn routing and scanning systems.
- Excellent organization, multitasking, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable performing both administrative and hands-on physical tasks.
- Dispatch, logistics, courier, warehouse, or delivery experience preferred.
- Basic spreadsheet knowledge; e-courier or similar system experience is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Job Description
As a Dispatcher, you will play a critical role in coordinating time-sensitive medication deliveries and ensuring drivers are dispatched efficiently to meet customer and pharmacy requirements. This position supports daily pharmacy operations through route management, driver coordination, shipment tracking, documentation processing, and customer service. The Dispatcher serves as a key communication link between drivers, pharmacy personnel, and customers, ensuring all deliveries are executed accurately and within required service levels.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and can proactively resolve logistical challenges while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Coordinating daily driver dispatch activities, including early morning route releases and route assignments.
- Ensuring drivers arrive on time, are properly prepared for their routes, and comply with customer and vendor appearance requirements.
- Monitoring route execution and proactively addressing delivery delays or operational issues.
- Managing urgent STAT medication deliveries and ensuring time-sensitive orders are assigned and completed promptly.
- Reviewing and processing controlled substance manifests and verifying required documentation before route release.
- Scanning and maintaining records of controlled medication documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Supporting pharmacy operations through administrative tasks, document management, and system updates.
- Communicating effectively with drivers, pharmacy staff, customers, and management regarding route status and service concerns.
- Tracking package movement and delivery performance to ensure service commitments are met.
- Utilizing company technology, mobile applications, printers, and dispatch systems to support daily operations.
- Identifying operational challenges and implementing solutions to maintain efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
- Assisting with after-hours operational support as needed until all routes have been successfully released and serviced.
- Maintaining a professional, organized, and customer-focused work environment.
- Supporting a culture of teamwork, accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement.
