Senior Consultant – Public Health & Patient Support Programs

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Consultant – Public Health & Patient Support Programs to lead and support the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of public health initiatives and patient support programs (PSPs).
The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational expertise across healthcare projects, collaborating with government entities, healthcare providers, pharmaceutical companies, patient advocacy groups, and other stakeholders to improve patient outcomes and access to care.
The Senior Consultant will play a key role in driving program excellence, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards, and delivering measurable health outcomes through innovative, patient-centric solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Program Development
- Lead the design, planning, and implementation of public health programs and patient support initiatives.
- Conduct healthcare landscape assessments, needs analyses, and stakeholder mapping to identify gaps and opportunities.
- Develop strategic recommendations to improve patient access, adherence, persistence, and health outcomes.
- Support business development activities, including proposal development, technical writing, and client presentations.
Program & Project Management
- Oversee end-to-end management of patient support and public health projects, from initiation through closure.
- Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, risk registers, and governance frameworks.
- Monitor project performance against agreed KPIs, deliverables, budgets, and timelines.
- Identify operational challenges and develop mitigation and improvement strategies.
Stakeholder & Client Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, government authorities, payers, patient associations, NGOs, and pharmaceutical partners.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and advisory boards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and key project stakeholders.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Design and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks for public health and patient support initiatives.
- Analyze healthcare and program performance data to generate actionable insights.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, and executive summaries for clients and leadership.
- Present project outcomes and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure programs comply with local regulations, ethical standards, pharmacovigilance requirements, data privacy regulations, and company SOPs.
- Support quality assurance activities, audits, and process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of project records.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Provide guidance and mentorship to program managers and project teams.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Support resource planning and capability development within the team.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Public Health, Healthcare Management, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH), Healthcare Management, Epidemiology, or a related discipline is preferred.
Experience
- 7–10 years of professional experience in healthcare consulting, public health programs, patient support programs, healthcare operations, or related healthcare services.
- Proven experience leading large-scale patient support programs and/or public health projects.
- Experience working with pharmaceutical companies, governmental healthcare entities, NGOs, healthcare providers, or consulting organizations.
- Demonstrated success in stakeholder management and client engagement.

Preferred Experience
Candidates will ideally have experience in:
- Designing and managing patient access, adherence, and disease management programs.
- Working on Ministry of Health, national healthcare, or population health initiatives.
- Conducting healthcare research, needs assessments, and program evaluations.
- Managing cross-functional teams and multi-stakeholder healthcare projects.
- Supporting healthcare transformation and patient-centric care initiatives.
