To ensure fast and effective assistance to the patients enrolled in our programs, we are looking to add a new member to our team in Sofia for the role of Patient Support Program Assistant.
Position Overview
The Assistant in our PSP is responsible for providing the necessary non-clinical support (administrative and logistical assistance) to patients with rheumatologic, gastroenterological, and dermatologic conditions. The Assistant serves as the first point of contact for every patient enrolled in the Program, helping them understand the stages of their treatment journey and the administrative requirements needed to access their prescribed therapy. The Assistant supports the organization of required laboratory tests, reviews the necessary documentation for therapy access, provides regular reminders about next steps, and tracks deadlines and document validity.
This is a field position, and the employment contract is on 1 year fixed term assignment, with the possibility of extension.
The Assistant’s daily work consists of three main activities:
- Field work (hospitals in Sofia) – meeting with patients enrolled in the PSP at healthcare facilities (hospitals) in Sofia that provide care for the covered in the Program conditions.
- Telephone communication – assisting patients by phone to arrange laboratory tests, prepare documentation, and organize visits to healthcare facilities. The Assistant regularly contacts patients to track document validity, explain next steps in the patient journey, or clarify administrative processes related to accessing their prescribed therapy.
- Activity reporting in validated digital systems (CRM).
Responsibilities:
- Providing in-person support to patients enrolled in the Program.
- Meeting patients at hospitals that offer medical care for the conditions covered by the PSP.
- Ensuring logistical and administrative assistance to improve the patient’s experience (no medical information is provided).
- Assisting patients with document preparation.
- Making regular phone calls and reminders regarding next steps in the process.
- Collaborating with other members of the Program team to meet patient needs.
- Responding quickly and accurately to patient inquiries within the approved parameters of the PSP.
- Building positive relationships with patients.
- Collecting informed consents from patients participating in the Program.
- Recording patient details and conducted activities in dedicated reporting forms and a CRM platform.
- Preparing weekly and monthly reports on performed activities and requested support.
- Reporting adverse events or adverse drug reactions within 24 hours or according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Performing additional duties assigned by the Program Manager.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma.
- Higher education in healthcare or social sciences is an advantage (nurse, pharmacist, social worker, psychologist, etc.) but not mandatory.
- Experience in patient support, health insurance, and/or access to treatment is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Previous experience in providing patient (client) support is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to support patients of all ages, cultures, and educational backgrounds.
- Motivation and enthusiasm to assist patients.
- Strong listening and problem‑solving skills.
- Full proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- High accuracy in documentation.
- Excellent command of Bulgarian.
- Intermediate (B1) level of English.

Общ преглед на позицията
Асистентът в пациентските ни програми е отговорен за предоставянето на неклинична помощ (административна и логистична) на пациенти с ревматологични, гастроентерологични и дерматологични заболявания. Той/тя е първа линия на контакт за всеки пациент, включен в Програмата, като подпомага разбирането на етапите от пътя на лечението и административните изисквания за достъп до назначената терапия. Асистентът съдейства при организирането на необходимите лабораторни изследвания, прегледа на изискуемите документи, напомняния за следващи стъпки, както и проследяване на срокове и валидност на документация.
Това е позиция на терен, а трудовият договор е срочен за период от 1 година, с възможност за удължаване.
Ежедневната работа включва три основни дейности:
- Работа на терен (болници в гр. София) – срещи с пациенти, включени в Програмата, в лечебни заведения, които предоставят грижа за съответните заболявания.
- Комуникация по телефон – съдействие за организиране на лабораторни изследвания, подготовка на документи, посещения в лечебни заведения; регулярни прозвънявания за проследяване на валидност на документи и разясняване на следващи стъпки.
- Отчитане на дейностите в утвърдени дигитални системи (CRM).

Отговорности:
- Предоставяне на подкрепа на живо на пациенти, включени в Програмата.
- Срещи с пациенти в лечебни заведения, които предоставят грижи за съответните заболявания.
- Осигуряване на логистична и административна помощ за подобряване на пациентското изживяване (без предоставяне на медицинска информация).
- Съдействие при подготовка на документи.
- Регулярни прозвънявания и напомняния за следващи стъпки в процеса.
- Сътрудничество с останалите членове на екипа за посрещане нуждите на пациентите.
- Бързо и точно реагиране на запитвания в рамките на одобрените параметри на Програмата.
- Изграждане на добри взаимоотношения с пациентите.
- Събиране на информирани съгласия за участие в Програмата.
- Записване на детайли за пациента и проведените активности в отчетни форми и CRM платформа.
- Подготовка на седмични и месечни отчети.
- Докладване на нежелани събития или реакции в рамките на 24 часа или според указанията на производителя.
- Изпълнение на допълнителни задачи, възложени от мениджъра на програмата.
Изисквания и квалификации:
- Диплома за средно образование.
- Висше образование в областта на здравеопазването или социалните науки е предимство (медицинска сестра, фармацевт, социален работник, психолог и др.), но не е задължително.
- Опит в съдействие на пациенти, здравно осигуряване и/или достъп до лечение е предимство, но не е задължително.
- Предишен опит в подпомагането на пациенти/клиенти е предимство.
- Отлични комуникационни умения – писмени и устни.
- Умение за работа с пациенти от различни възрастови групи, култури и образователни нива.
- Мотивация и ентусиазъм за подпомагане на пациенти.
- Отлични умения за слушане и решаване на проблеми.
- Много добра компютърна грамотност – MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Висока прецизност при документиране.
- Отлично владеене на български език.
- Средно (B1) ниво на английски език.
