Danske Bank is strengthening our 1st Line of Defence Risk Management set-up in Poland, and this role sits right at the heart of that work. As a Tribe Risk Partner, you will work closely with Product Owners and Business Analysts to ensure risks are identified early, assessed clearly, and translated into consistent action. This is a role where your contribution shapes how the business manages risk every day.
What you will be doing:
You will join the Everyday Banking team in Warsaw, working alongside Product Owners and Business Analysts across a cross-border set-up that spans the Nordic countries, Poland, Lithuania, and India. The team operates in an open, collaborative atmosphere where risk management is treated as a practical business tool rather than a bureaucratic obligation. You will help tribes navigate complex initiatives with multiple parallel assessments and a range of stakeholders, contributing directly to a risk culture that is clear, grounded, and trusted.
You will take ownership of:
- Facilitating and completing Risk and Control Self-Assessments, ensuring quality and governance approval.
- Supporting Product Owners with risk governance across design, change, and product lifecycle activities.
- Coordinating GDPR and privacy risk assessments and ensuring required actions are followed through.
- Reviewing incidents and issues, supporting mitigation, and identifying trends to prevent recurrence.
- Monitoring audit observations and remediation backlogs and guiding the business through follow-up.
About you:
- At least two years of experience in risk management, ideally within financial services or consulting.
- Practical experience from a 1st Line risk organisation, including RCSA facilitation and product governance.
- Familiarity with GDPR and privacy risk assessments and incident and issue management processes.
- Structured, analytical approach with attention to detail and a curious mindset.
- Clear, confident communicator who builds alignment across diverse teams.
- Fluent in English, written and spoken.
- Knowledge of everyday banking processes, products, customer journeys, or operating models would be a welcome addition to the team.
