- Description and Requirements
Join Lenovo’s Solutions & Services Group (SSG) as a DWS Security Solution Architect, where you’ll bring together your cybersecurity expertise, solution-design experience, and strong pre-sales skills to support customers with complex security needs. Working in an international environment, you’ll collaborate closely with technical, sales, and business stakeholders to shape the right security solutions and clearly communicate their value. In this role, you’ll report directly to the SSG International Sales Pre-Sales Leader.
What You Will Do:
- Technical Consultation: Engage with prospects to gather requirements, analyze security risks, and design customized security architectures.
- Demos & PoCs: Deliver compelling technical product demonstrations and manage Proof of Concepts to showcase value.
- Solution Design: Build comprehensive security solutions including next-gen firewalls, WAF, DLP, and endpoint security (EDR), MDR, SIEM, NextGen SOC Solutions, VA/PT solutions, AI For Security and Security for AI. Anti-Ransomware solutions.
- Proposal Development: Collaborate with sales teams to prepare technical proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and commercial quotations.
- Relationship Management: Act as a trusted technical advisor, building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Market Intelligence: Stay updated with emerging threats, industry trends, and competitor products to refine technical positioning.
- Federal Security requirements: Knowledgeable about the regional Cyber security compliance requirements, Security Standards in practice in country and in region.
- Translate the solution into deliverables: Knowledgeable about transaling the solution into actual deliverables.
- Train Sales Teams: Train and impart knowledge to sales teams for pitching solutions to customers, having meaningful conversations, providing customers with required information for helping Lenovo business grow.
What You Will Bring:
- Strong academic & professional background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with 10–12+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Cybersecurity Pre-Sales expertise: 7+ years of experience in IT security technology Pre-Sales or a similar area, ideally gained within a Global Systems Integrator (GSI) environment.
- Security solution design & delivery: 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and delivering solutions leveraging cybersecurity technologies.
- Deep technology knowledge: Strong understanding of IT outsourcing services, the technology industry, digital technologies, and cybersecurity solutions.
- Excellent communicator & presenter: Able to clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders, supported by excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Agile, collaborative & influential: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously, collaborating across teams, and influencing stakeholders at all levels of a matrixed organization.
- Global mindset & recognized certifications: Experience working with international teams across different time zones, plus at least one certification such as CISSP, CISA, CRISC, or CISM; OSCP, CEH, or SANS certifications are considered an added advantage.
