Based in Zurich, the Senior VP Originator / Relationship Manager is responsible for strategically growing Deutsche Bank Wealth Management’s Germany International franchise, with a strong focus on sophisticated HNW and UHNW individuals, entrepreneurs, family offices and foundations. The role combines senior relationship ownership with a clear origination mandate and leverages an established German client and introducer network to acquire new relationships, deepen share of wallet and deliver sustainable growth. Acting as a trusted adviser, the Senior VP develops holistic, bespoke solutions and connects clients with relevant capabilities across Wealth Management and the wider bank.

Responsibilities

• Originate and acquire new HNW and UHNW client relationships for the Germany International franchise, leveraging a strong network of clients, prospects, entrepreneurs, family offices and professional introducers.
• Build, develop and manage long-term client relationships, taking overall responsibility for client satisfaction, retention, portfolio profitability and sustainable growth.
• Deliver revenues, net new assets and net new lending in line with the firm’s strategy and targets, while increasing share of wallet across existing relationships.
• Provide holistic, personalised advice and tailored solutions across investments, discretionary portfolio management, lending and financing, wealth and succession planning, based on clients’ objectives, risk profiles and circumstances.
• Proactively identify complex cross-border and financing opportunities and coordinate Investment Managers, Lending specialists and other product experts to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Connect clients to relevant capabilities across Wealth Management, Corporate Bank, Investment Bank and Asset Management, delivering the full value of the Global Hausbank proposition.
• Strengthen connectivity between the Zurich and German platforms and stay ahead of market trends, client developments and opportunities relevant to the Germany International client base.
• Act as the primary point of contact and Accountable Client Owner, ensuring high service standards and full adherence to KYC/AML, conduct, risk management and applicable regulatory requirements.

Skills

• Substantial wealth management and private banking experience, with a strong track record of advising HNW and UHNW individuals, entrepreneurs, family offices and foundations.
• Proven senior-level origination capabilities in the German market, including the ability to attract new HNW/UHNW relationships directly from an established client and introducer network.
• Demonstrated success in delivering sustainable growth in revenues, net new assets and lending, together with a strong sales and performance orientation.
• Deep understanding of sophisticated HNW/UHNW client needs and strong investment, financing and wealth-planning insight, including experience with international and cross-border client situations.
• Strong knowledge of the German wealth management market and a sound understanding of the Swiss financial centre and relevant regulatory framework.
• Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset, with clear and structured working methods, sound judgement and the ability to perform effectively in a demanding environment.
• Strong risk awareness and a consistent record of operating within professional, legal, ethical and regulatory standards, including KYC/AML and reputational risk requirements.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to build trusted senior relationships and work effectively across product teams, booking centres and business divisions.
• Very good command of German and English and willingness to travel as required across the Germany International market.
