Position Purpose:

The Senior SAP S/4HANA Finance & Logistics Functional Configurator is a key individual contributor within the enterprise Finance Technology team. This role is responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, and ongoing support of highly scalable, robust SAP Finance and Logistics solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep functional expertise in S/4HANA Procurement (SAP MM) and seamless integration points with Finance (SAP FI), Accounts Payable, purchase order pricing conditions and calculation schemas, Master Data and supply chain processes.

Leveraging strong technical acumen and business-facing consultative skills, you will translate strategic organizational objectives into streamlined, automated SAP configurations that drive operational excellence across our global supply chain and retail operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• 60% Delivery and Execution – Lead the design, configuration, and optimization of SAP S/4HANA SAP MM Calculation Schemas (Pricing Procedures) for global and local purchasing organizations, Advance Shipping Notifications, Accounts Payable, and Inventory movements. Configure complex Access Sequences and Condition Tables to automate gross price, discounts, rebates and surcharge determination in Purchase Orders. Implement advanced pricing scenarios involving tiered quantity scales, and validity periods. Build custom condition types to handle complex accruals for third-party freight and customs duties, ensuring proper integration with FI account keys. Have a clear understanding of the value the solutions provide to the end users; Takes on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy and enthusiasm; Develops test suites (functional, and Integration) to enable success. Provide production support, troubleshoot complex functional issues, and implement sustainable solutions that enhance system stability and performance. Partner with business stakeholders to translate strategic goals into scalable SAP solutions that improve efficiency, automation, and financial visibility.

• 15% Plans and Aligns – Collaborates with other team members in agile processes; Creates new and better ways for the organization to be successful; Works with the Product Team to ensure user stories are valuable, developer ready, easy to understand and testable; Delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences; Collaborate across Finance, Procurement, and technical teams to ensure seamless integration and business continuity. Adapts approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations; Relates openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people. Influence enterprise-wide finance transformation initiatives leveraging SAP S/4HANA capabilities.
• 5% Supports and Enables – Helps grow junior engineers by providing guidance on modern software development frameworks, and leading technical discussions. Mentor team members by sharing SAP best practices, design standards, and functional expertise.

Physical Requirements:

• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• 5 plus years of deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA SAP MM/Procurement, particularly:
  • Purchase Order Pricing Conditions, Pricing Schemas
  • Logistics and Inventory management
  • Integration experience with Accounts Payable
  • Master Data Management – Vendor and Pricing records  
• Strong understanding of end-to-end logistics processes from Purchase Order, Shipping Notification, Goods Receipts, Inventory movements to invoice processing, chargebacks, and Dispute processing
• Experience integrating SAP Finance with Warehouse Management processes.
• Proven ability to design scalable, business-focused SAP solutions in large enterprise environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex business challenges.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience supporting both SAP implementations and ongoing production operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 years of relevant work experience over the minimum criteria, Multiple full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations. Experience with SAP S/4HANA 1909 or higher.

• Proven track record of architecting a highly customized Calculation Schema from a blank slate rather than just modifying standard SAP templates.
• Experience configuring specialized pricing procedures for internal company transfers, utilizing condition types or handling transfer pricing metrics. Familiarity with SAP enhancement framework specifically for pricing, such as customizing Requirements.
• Experience leading small engineering teams or technical workstreams, driving multiple initiatives simultaneously, and ensuring successful delivery of assigned modules and features.
• Experience serving as the technical face of a product, platform, or initiative, effectively collaborating with business stakeholders, product teams, and senior leadership.
• Experience with event-driven architecture, real-time data processing, and high-throughput transaction platforms.
• SAP Certified Application Associate - Procurement with SAP S/4HANA (or similar MM legacy certification).

• The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
