ABOUT THE ROLE
Runs dozers, loaders, excavators, haul trucks or other types of large equipment used for paving or moving, grading and compacting earth, sand, gravel, stone and/or asphalt materials. Conducts routine daily inspections of equipment and maintains equipment in a clean and safe manner.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Operate various heavy equipment in order to loads trucks, feeds bins with various aggregate materials, maintain proper quantities of material to be loaded.
- Assist with maintaining equipment by keeping equipment clean and orderly.
- Performs daily safety inspections on equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Ensures that safety, compliance, environmental requirements are followed at all times.
- Loads material into bins, crushers, trucks or into plant.
- Performs visual and safety inspection of equipment.
- Maintains appearance of equipment, proper air pressure in tires, proper fluid levels or perform minor repairs as needed.
- Completes all paperwork that may be necessary, and assists with other duties required.
- Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
- Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent
- Required Work Experience: Minimun of one year of related work experience or equivalent combination of eduaction and experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
