Job Description

Summary

As an established Product Technical Specialist, you will provide pre-sales expertise to help sales teams identify customer needs. You will make independent decisions to ensure sales teams receive effective and efficient support.

Key Responsibilities

Consultant Relationship Management

• Develop and maintain relationships with consulting engineers, design houses, government authorities, and end users.
• Increase Carrier product specifications in project tenders and design documents.
• Establish regular consultant visit plans and engagement strategies.
• Identify new consultants and expand Carrier’s market reach.

Technical Promotion & Specification

• Deliver technical presentations on Carrier products and solutions.
• Conduct Lunch & Learn sessions, workshops, and technical seminars.
• Promote Carrier Applied Systems, Light Commercial, Controls, Service, and Aftermarket offerings.
• Support consultants with design assistance and technical clarifications.

Market Intelligence & Project Tracking

• Monitor upcoming projects and provide project pipeline visibility.
• Gather market intelligence on competitors, specifications, and consultant preferences.
• Identify business opportunities and coordinate with sales teams.

Training & Knowledge Sharing

• Organize consultant training programs on Carrier products and software.
• Conduct HAP software awareness and technical training sessions.
• Support factory visits and customer engagement events.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Sales, Application Engineering, Service, Controls, and Aftermarket teams.
• Transfer project leads and business opportunities to the respective business units.
• Support strategic initiatives and key account activities.

Reporting & KPI Management

• Maintain the consultant database and engagement records.
• Prepare monthly activity reports and coverage dashboards.
• Track consultant interactions, presentations, specifications, and project opportunities generated.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5–8 years of HVAC industry experience.
• Experience working with consultants, design offices, or in technical sales.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF systems, controls/BMS, and energy-efficiency solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Qatar or GCC construction market.
• Knowledge of the local consultant landscape and government entities.
• Familiarity with HAP software and HVAC design principles.
• Experience in specification selling and consultant management.

Additional Minimum Requirements

• Theoretical to advanced knowledge obtained through a university degree, combined with experience.
• Practical knowledge of Carrier’s organization, programs, or systems, with the ability to make enhancements and apply that knowledge in daily work.
• University degree or equivalent.
• A minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience.
