General Description:
The Imaging Care Associate I supports the Imaging team in providing excellent patient care.
Essential Responsibilities:

- Prepares patients for testing and/or procedures including patient positioning.
- Transports patients as requested.
- Responds to inquiries from patients and family members.
- Collaborates with team members across OU Health to provide exceptional patient care.
- Cleans, disinfects and organizes to provide a welcoming environment for patients.
- Assists with scheduling and other clerical tasks.
- Assists with data entry, patient records, documentation and filing.
General Responsibilities:
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Level 1:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: None required.
License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association required.
Minimum Qualifications Level 2:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: At least 3 years of patient care experience required.
License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association required. One of the following is required at hire: Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT), Patient Care Technician (PCTC), Phlebotomy certification, Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT), Certified EKG Technician or Imaging Assistant, Magnetic Resonance IA(MR)(ARRT) required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to provide exceptional service and care to patients.
- Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to the imaging/radiology discipline.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow HIPAA guidelines and standards.
- Ability to prioritize and complete clinical or non-clinical work assignments
- Ability to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations
- Ability to work as part of a diverse team and communicate effectively with others.
- Displays consistency and dependability by reporting to work as scheduled.
- Ability to be sensitive to patients’ physical and psychological needs.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes.
- Ability and desire to learn and grow in the Imaging profession.
