As an Account Manager, you will drive the growth of IFF's Food Ingredients business in Malaysia by managing key customer relationships, developing new business opportunities, and expanding market share across the Bakery & Culinary categories. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will deliver innovative ingredient solutions that meet customer needs while contributing to the company's commercial success.

Where You’ll Make a Difference

Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts and distributor partners, fostering strong customer relationships and identifying opportunities to increase sales, profitability, and customer loyalty.
Drive new business development and pipeline creation by proactively identifying opportunities within existing and prospective customers, converting leads into profitable sales wins.
Promote IFF's Bakery, Culinary & other Food Category ingredient solutions by understanding customer challenges, translating their needs into tailored solutions, and effectively presenting value-added offerings.
Lead the end-to-end sales process, including forecasting, sample coordination, quotation preparation, commercial negotiations, and order follow-through to ensure excellent customer service.
Partner with Innovation, Creation & Design (IC&D), Product Management, Marketing, Customer Service, and Operations teams to deliver customer projects on time and meet commercial objectives.
Develop and execute strategic account plans to strengthen customer partnerships, uncover growth opportunities, and support long-term business expansion.
Maintain an active opportunity pipeline in Salesforce CRM, ensuring accurate reporting, customer segmentation, market intelligence, and competitive insights.
Monitor project progress and customer satisfaction, acting as the primary liaison between customers and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution.
Achieve sales targets and business objectives while supporting growth initiatives across Bakery, Culinary, and other product categories in line with evolving business priorities.

What Makes You the Right Fit

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food & Nutrition, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5-8 years of B2B sales and account management experience within the food ingredients, food manufacturing, or related industry, with hands-on experience managing Bakery and/or Culinary customers.
Strong commercial acumen and proven track record of business growth, including account development, pipeline management, and successful delivery of sales targets.
Sound knowledge of bakery and culinary applications, with established industry networks and a strong understanding of customer needs and market trends.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively translate technical and commercial information to customers and cross-functional teams.
Self-motivated and results-oriented professional with a proactive mindset, strong problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative team player who thrives in a cross-functional B2B environment, demonstrates respect for others, and communicates effectively in English, both written and spoken.
