The challenge

What you will do

The main responsibilities will include:

• Lead and develop the Tax function, setting priorities, ensuring effective organization and fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Oversee direct tax activities, including Corporate Income Tax and all tax compliance obligations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with applicable legislation.
• Manage and coordinate the preparation of corporate income tax returns, working closely with internal teams and external tax advisors.
• Oversee tax accounting activities, ensuring accurate tax recognition, provisions, deferred taxes and reconciliation between tax and statutory reporting.
• Manage tax governance and risk, identifying potential tax risks and ensuring appropriate controls, processes and documentation are in place.
• Act as the key point of contact for tax matters, providing advice and guidance to Finance, Legal, HR and other business functions.
• Lead relationships with external tax advisors, auditors and tax authorities, ensuring effective management of audits, inspections and tax enquiries.
• Oversee tax audits and disputes, coordinating internal and external resources and ensuring appropriate strategies and documentation.
• Drive tax planning and optimization initiatives, identifying opportunities while ensuring full compliance with applicable regulations and the Company’s risk framework.
• Monitor developments in tax legislation, assessing their potential impact on the business and translating them into actionable recommendations.
• Support senior management and the business with tax analysis and advice on strategic projects, business transactions and organizational initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement and digitalization of tax processes, promoting efficiency, automation and effective use of technology and data.
• Ensure effective tax reporting and communication to management and relevant stakeholders.

What you need to succeed

Must have

Education:
University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Law or a related field. A professional tax qualification is considered a strong plus.

Professional Experience:
At least 10 years of relevant experience in taxation, gained in a multinational company, Big Four/professional services firm or similarly structured environment, with significant experience in a managerial or leadership role.

Leadership:
Proven experience in leading tax activities and coordinating internal teams and external advisors in a complex, international environment.

Languages:
Fluent Italian and English, both written and spoken. Chinese is a plus.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Italian direct taxation, including Corporate Income Tax (IRES) and IRAP, and of Italian GAAP (OIC) and IFRS, with the ability to assess tax accounting implications
• Strong understanding of tax accounting, including current and deferred taxes.
• Good knowledge of international taxation, including transfer pricing and CFC rules.
• Strong understanding of tax compliance, tax governance and tax risk management.
• Experience in managing tax audits, inspections and relationships with tax authorities.
• Strong financial and analytical skills, with excellent knowledge of Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (SAP is a plus).
• Experience with tax technology, process digitalization and automation is considered a plus.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

Employment Type: Permanent Contract; Full-Time

National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL): Metalmeccanici Privati

Minimum Gross Annual Salary: € 95.000

The position includes access to an individual or collective variable incentive scheme based on the achievement of predefined performance objectives (KPIs); alternatively, any additional variable compensation components or benefits will be governed by the applicable company policies.
