The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Parts Sales Representative to join our team. This is an externally focused sales role responsible for developing new business opportunities, growing existing customer accounts, and increasing market share across a designated territory.
Working closely with customers across the transport industry, you will actively promote TRP, PACCAR, Kenworth and DAF parts and service solutions while delivering exceptional customer service and building long-term relationships. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional with strong parts knowledge and a passion for driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a regular customer call cycle across your assigned territory.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and cold calling.
- Grow existing customer accounts and increase share of wallet opportunities.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets.
- Promote TRP, PACCAR, Kenworth and DAF products and services.
- Introduce customers to online purchasing solutions and maximise adoption.
- Identify, develop and manage consignment and mini-store opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular engagement and support.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities and provide feedback to management.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare regular territory sales reports.
- Support branch operations and customer requirements as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including EEO, OH&S and quality standards.
About you:
- Proven sales experience with a strong track record of achieving targets.
- Previous experience in parts sales, parts interpreting or a related industry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and parts knowledge.
- Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
- Highly organised with strong planning and time-management skills.
- Self-motivated with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills and confidence with business systems.
- Forklift licence and Heavy Vehicle licence advantageous but not essential.
- You are organised, adaptable, and able to work overtime when required, including Saturday mornings or on-call rosters
