About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized, customer-focused, and detail-oriented Global Travel Support Specialist to join our Global Travel team. This role provides day-to-day support to employees worldwide, helping them navigate business travel, travel policies, booking tools, and travel-related issues.
The Global Travel Support Specialist serves as a key point of contact for employees, providing timely, professional, and solutions-oriented support while ensuring travel is managed in accordance with company policies, procedures, and program standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced corporate travel professional who enjoys problem-solving, working with people, and operating in a fast-paced, global environment.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, exercising sound judgment, taking ownership of issues from start to finish, and recognizing when an issue can be resolved directly versus when escalation or management approval is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely, professional, and customer-focused support to employees through email and other designated travel support channels.
- Assist employees with flights, hotels, car rentals, travel bookings, cancellations, changes, refunds, credits, and other travel-related inquiries.
- Provide guidance on the company’s Travel & Expense Policy and help employees understand and comply with travel requirements.
- Troubleshoot issues with the company’s online booking tool and assist employees with navigating travel booking processes.
- Investigate travel-related issues and coordinate with the travel management company, airlines, hotels, car rental companies, and other travel suppliers to resolve problems.
- Apply travel policies consistently while using sound judgment when managing unique, complex, or time-sensitive situations.
- Identify situations requiring management approval or escalation and ensure the appropriate approvals are obtained.
- Manage issues through resolution, maintaining clear communication with employees and stakeholders throughout the process.
- Partner closely with the Global Travel Manager and broader travel team to support the operation and continuous improvement of the global travel program.
- Assist with travel program projects, communications, reporting, process improvements, and other initiatives as required.
- Identify recurring issues, trends, and opportunities to improve processes and the overall employee travel experience.
- Maintain a strong understanding of corporate travel practices, supplier policies, booking processes, and company travel requirements.
- Protect confidential employee, travel, and company information at all times.
