Stantec is now accepting applications for Summer 2027 Civil Engineering interns within our Community Development Group in Minneapolis or Plymouth.
As an intern, you will work in a team environment and have exposure to residential, commercial and industrial community development projects that may include urban design and planning erosion control, stormwater pollution prevention plans, water and wastewater conveyance, and storm water management. We provide efficient and sustainable solutions that are environmentally responsible, functional, and technically sound. Our friendly and communicative team dynamic cultivates career growth and provides opportunities to with other sectors and disciplines within the greater Stantec team.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop technical abilities to complete the civil design tasks on a wide variety of projects in a dynamic team setting.
- Assist with preparation of plans and specifications, reports, and other project deliverables.
- Attend internal design team meetings and potentially some client meetings on an as needed basis.
- Procure permits and other approvals from various agencies.
- Communicate effectively with construction and engineering staff, clients, and other project stakeholders.
- Assist with CAD drafting and design, and preparation of construction documents.
