Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) Simulation Integrator
SAIC · Kaiserslautern
SAIC is seeking a Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) Simulation Integrator to support the Air Force Collaborative Operations for Battlespace Resilient Architecture (COBRA) program at the USAFE-AFAFRICA Warfare Center (UAWC) in Einsiedlerhof, Germany.
COBRA provides for the implementation and integration of new and emerging technologies to provide relevant support for all federations, models, and systems in preparation for, during, and after the highest quality training events. Events are all activities that require M&S services, to include mission rehearsals, threat testing, functional testing, operational testing, risk reduction and integration testing.
Responsibilities include designing and communicating innovative M&S solutions to enhance existing capabilities, unincumbered by original design or intended use of any computer simulation system. The JSE Simulation Integrator provides executive level expertise and vision associated with JSE, specifically, designing and testing innovative concepts to federate JSE with existing Live, Virtual, and Constructive simulation models and the ability to operate JSE in a distributed architecture. The desired endstate is the establishment of a realistic and wholistic simulation environment capable of using the best tools available to train warfighters across the European theater.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and execute all aspects of the UAWC implementation of the Joint Simulation Environment. This includes, but is not limited to, the coordination with program office and other executive level engagements, development of associated documentation required to inform decision makers of system capabilities nested with the training capability required throughout the European Theater.
- In depth knowledge of fifth generation capabilities and tactics used to design training scenarios capable of stimulating advanced capabilities generated within the simulation operational environment. This includes experience with future training solutions such as the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center (JITTC),
- Conduct program level coordination to obtain associated user agreements, review and inform leadership of export restrictions, and obtain valid fielding instructions or authority to operate documentation.
- Oversee the development focused test plans, oversee vulnerability mitigation through the isolation specific aspects of integration testing. Utilize protocol and simulation analysis tools to identify and correct incompatibilities and errors in the proper transmission and rendering of individual simulation entities.
- Engage with military and civilian leadership to resolve conflicts among priorities and answer any requests for information.
