Cybersecurity & Risk Internship

About the Internship Program
This 11-week program places interns on teams where they'll contribute to meaningful and impactful projects from day one. Throughout the summer, interns also get exposure to ADT as a whole: sessions with different business units, briefings on current company priorities, and time with our executive leadership team, alongside a dedicated professional development track.
Where You Could Work
Depending on team needs and background, interns may be placed in:
DevSecOps and Application Security
Vulnerability and Threat Exposure Management
Cybersecurity Risk and Reporting
Security Automation and AI
Technology Asset and Security Data Management
Placement is based on business needs, skillsets, academic background, and areas of interest. Project work may include analyzing vulnerabilities and security data, supporting application security and DevSecOps initiatives, improving visibility into technology assets and security exposures, evaluating emerging AI-enabled security capabilities, and developing dashboards or reports that help teams prioritize risk and remediation efforts.
Interns may also research emerging cybersecurity practices, test security tools or capabilities, document findings, and work across technical and business teams to communicate security risks and recommendations.
Qualifications
Required
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field
- Graduating between December 2027 and May 2028
- Completion of at least two upper-level (300/400) courses relevant to the internship discipline
- Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to support or sponsor any U.S. immigration benefit (such as, but not limited to, H-1B, TN, STEM OPT) at this time.
Standout Candidates Will Bring
- Prior internship, co-op, research, or independent project experience, along with the ability to clearly explain their individual contributions, decisions, and lessons learned
- Coursework or projects involving cybersecurity, risk management, governance, compliance, security operations, networking, or information systems
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, vulnerability management concepts, or security monitoring tools
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Leadership experience through student organizations, athletics, military service, community involvement, or campus initiatives
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
