Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia at Comcast Center is seeking a talented and passionate Cook 1 to join our Culinary team. This role is responsible for preparing and presenting food at the highest level of quality, consistency, and craftsmanship while maintaining Four Seasons standards. The Cook 1 serves as a key contributor within the kitchen, supporting daily operations through advanced culinary techniques, attention to detail, and a commitment to exceptional guest experiences. This position reports to the Sous Chef and Executive Chef.
What You Will Do
- Prepare food items according to established recipes, production methods, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Execute advanced culinary techniques, including proper knife skills, fabrication, butchery, and ingredient preparation.
- Maintain complete mise en place and station readiness for service periods.
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation meet Four Seasons and departmental standards.
- Label, date, rotate, and store food products in accordance with food safety standards.
- Operate, maintain, and properly clean kitchen equipment and work areas.
- Support culinary leadership by assisting with training and mentoring team members.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment while following all safety and health regulations.
What You Bring
- Minimum three years of professional culinary experience in a high-volume restaurant, luxury hotel, or fine dining environment preferred.
- Advanced knife skills and strong culinary fundamentals.
- Experience with protein fabrication, butchery, seafood preparation, or other specialized culinary techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health code requirements.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
