Professional Background: Minimum of 3 to 5+ years of practical experience as a dedicated SQL Server DBA.
Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), T-SQL, and SQL Profiler.
Infrastructure Familiarity: Strong grasp of Windows Server operating systems, networking, and storage layouts.
Cloud Integration: Basic experience managing Azure SQL Databases or migrating on-premise servers to cloud infrastructure.
Core Competencies: Exceptional problem-solving skills under pressure and rigid adherence to change management controls

Education Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology / Masters in Computer Application
Certifications: Relevant Microsoft credentials, such as the Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or legacy MCSE/MCSA certificates.
Methodologies: Familiarity with ITIL frameworks for incident and problem management.

Core Responsibilities • Database Maintenance: Install, configure, patch, and upgrade MS SQL Server instances. • Performance Tuning: Optimize slow queries, manage index strategies, and eliminate hardware bottlenecks. • Disaster Recovery: Establish secure backup, restore, and automated data validation plans. • High Availability: Configure and maintain Always On Availability Groups, failover clustering, and replication. • Security & Compliance: Implement role-based user permissions, data encryption, and regular security audits. • Process Automation: Write PowerShell, T-SQL, or Python scripts to automate routine DBA tasks. • Production Support: Provide real-time troubleshooting for database errors, often participating in an on-call rotation
