Merchandising - Miami – Travel Retail

This role will be responsible for actively coordinating Visual Merchandising activities across Travel Retail Americas, supporting regional VM planning, execution, maintenance, updates, and deployment across a selection of Beauty brands. Responsibilities will include coordinating/tracking/reporting on these activities, working closely with markets, vendors, RSS, Commercial and Marketing teams while maximizing in-store brand visibility and improving consistency across all channels.

In this role you will be responsible for:

Drive excellence in store execution by coordinating Visual Merchandising activities across Travel Retail Americas and ensuring consistent implementation of global brand guidelines and regional priorities.

1. Manage and coordinate regional Visual Merchandising planning and execution

• Manage and maintain the regional VM Master Calendar, ensuring visibility of upcoming activities, launches, updates, and deployments across markets.
• Coordinate local productions and global merchandising deployments across the region.
• Track project timelines, materials, approvals, and deliverables with internal and external stakeholders.
• Act as liaison between production suppliers, internal teams, field teams, and local markets.
• Access and share global guidelines and artwork with markets and production vendors.
• Develop and communicate execution guidelines to the field team and local markets.
• Create and maintain photographic records of merchandising activities and executions.
• Maintain centralized information and folders by brand and launch to facilitate access to relevant VM materials.

2. Drive perfect execution in store in line with brand guidelines and regional strategy

• Coordinate regional VM updates and maintenance requirements, ensuring continuous follow-up with markets.
• Develop and communicate planogram updates incorporating new launches, discontinuations, and regional requirements.
• Adapt planograms and space allocations when required to reflect regional needs and commercial priorities.
• Ensure visuals and merchandising materials are updated as needed.
• Work closely with Field team, Commercial and Marketing teams to identify and follow up on VM needs across the region.
• Support local markets in resolving VM execution and maintenance requirements.
• Support implementation of merchandising tools and global initiatives at POS.
• Coordinate with vendors and markets to ensure timely execution of VM updates, maintenance, and production requirements.

3. Manage merchandising tools, POSM inventory and deployments

• Coordinate forecast order quantities for merchandising items from global offerings.
•  Maintain visibility and control of regional POSM inventory and available merchandising tools.
•  Coordinate distribution and deployment of merchandising materials according to market requirements.
•  Identify opportunities for local production, reuse, and optimization of existing merchandising materials.
•  Coordinate with vendors, markets, and internal stakeholders to support production and deployment requirements.

4. Support and track Visual Merchandising budget

• Track merchandising expenditures and maintain visibility of project costs.
• Support budget management for merchandising tools, visual production, maintenance, and local production.
• Coordinate with vendors on quotations and production costs.
• Follow up with the Finance team on creation of POs, invoices, and related financial processes.
• Support identification of cost efficiencies through local production, reuse, and early planning.

We’d love to see candidates who have:

Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Design or business-related field.
• Fluent in both English and Spanish. French is a plus.
• Good proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Photoshop or other design software.
• Ability to read technical CAD / 3D drawings. No technical drawing skills necessary, just the ability to understand and review them.
• General understanding of fabrication and print processes.
• Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects across categories, including fragrance, skincare and makeup.
• Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate multiple projects, markets, and priorities at the same time.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with vendors and multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Proactive, solution-oriented and able to embrace a can-do attitude.
• Strong communication skills.
• Extremely organized multi-tasker that operates with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Able to adapt to changes and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable:

• Strong operational background in project management, especially within a visual merchandising, retail operations, or marketing department.
• Travel Retail and beauty industry background preferred.
• Experience managing fixture and/or print vendors a plus.
• Experience coordinating Visual Merchandising across multiple locations or markets.
• Business Skills - Work-flow structuring, monitoring, product knowledge, account administration, automated office systems, multi-tasking, analytical, quantitative, organizational, detail-oriented, time management.
