Snowflake's ASEAN Commercial team is growing, and we're looking for a Commercial Account Executive to lead new customer acquisition across Malaysia. You'll focus on mid-market organisations that invest heavily in technology, including technically sophisticated digital natives in fintech, blockchain and other fast-growing sectors. You'll work alongside a Singapore-based colleague who focuses on account expansion, and you'll build Snowflake's new logo engine in Malaysia.
AS A COMMERCIAL ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE, ACQUISITION AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:
Own new logo acquisition across a named list of Malaysian mid-market accounts, prospecting systematically to create pipeline from the ground up
Build multiple layers of pipeline across every stage, so your business never depends on a single late-stage opportunity
Lead business value conversations that show how the Snowflake AI Data Cloud, including Snowflake Cortex AI, Snowpark, secure data sharing and Snowflake Marketplace, delivers measurable outcomes for each customer
Partner closely with Sales Engineering to uncover, qualify and shape use cases across data engineering, analytics, AI and data applications
Engage confidently with both technical audiences (data engineers, architects, CTOs) and business leaders (CFOs, CEOs, heads of digital), tailoring your message to each
Co-sell with Snowflake's partner ecosystem in Malaysia, including systems integrators, data consultancies and cloud partners such as AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud
Run rigorous deal inspection and accurate forecasting, maintaining strong sales hygiene in Salesforce
Represent Snowflake across the Malaysian technology community, building trusted relationships with customers and partners
OUR IDEAL COMMERCIAL ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE, ACQUISITION WILL HAVE:
7+ years of B2B sales experience, including success managing mid-market territories at a SaaS, cloud or data company
A proven record of personal quota attainment selling to customers in Malaysia
Demonstrated success creating pipeline from scratch and winning new logos
Strong business value selling skills, with the ability to connect technology to commercial outcomes
Disciplined deal inspection, forecasting and sales hygiene practices
Confidence selling to both technical and business stakeholders
A base in Kuala Lumpur, established relationships across the local customer and partner ecosystem, and a strong understanding of how business is done in Malaysia
A resourceful, self-directed approach and comfort working with limited support while a new territory is being built
BONUS POINTS FOR THE FOLLOWING:
Experience selling to digital natives, including fintech or blockchain organisations
Experience at a cloud, data or SaaS vendor, or within the Snowflake partner ecosystem (systems integrators, cloud or data consultancies)
Familiarity with MEDDPICC or a similar qualification methodology
Ability to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia or other regional languages
Experience launching or rebuilding a territory
