Our Values

Our values define how we work, make decisions, and deliver for our customers and each other. Some reflect strengths deeply engrained in how we work. Others represent the standards we are committed to building together.

• We Do What We Say: We own our commitments, communicate honestly about progress, and measure success by results, not activity.
• We Are Trusted Experts: We continuously build our expertise, offer candid guidance, and focus on the outcomes our customers and colleagues need.
• We Raise the Bar: We stay curious, challenge the status quo, take smart risks, and turn better ideas into meaningful results.
• We Win Together: We share information, debate openly, commit together, and recognize that our success is connected to the success of our customers and teammates.

If these values reflect how you want to work and contribute, you will find an opportunity to make a meaningful impact at AppViewX.

Role Overview

We are looking for a visionary Engineering leader who will be responsible for building and leading a world-class team of software engineers to drive end-to-end technical design, platform innovation, and execution across multiple on-premises and cloud-native SaaS applications. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in modern engineering practices, Agentic AI, and platform engineering — and will play a pivotal role in shaping AppViewX's next-generation product strategy.

What You Will Be Responsible For

Engineering Leadership & Culture

• Lead and manage the product engineering team, providing strategic guidance, mentorship, and motivation to foster a high-performance, collaborative engineering culture.
• Set and champion engineering best practices — including coding standards, code reviews, CI/CD, TDD, and operational excellence — across all teams.
• Exert broad technical influence across multiple teams, driving productivity and effectiveness through deep domain expertise and hands-on leadership.
• Cultivate a culture of innovation, intellectual curiosity, and continuous learning — rapidly integrating emerging technologies and methodologies into day-to-day engineering work.

Product & Platform Engineering

• Own and drive the Product Engineering charter to accelerate engineering velocity and reduce cognitive load across product teams.
• Work with Platform Engineering leaders to contribute platform development including internal developer platforms (IDP), developer tooling, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, observability frameworks, and self-service capabilities
• Scope and author technical plans for complex, large-scale features spanning multiple teams and release cycles; accurately track and report project and feature status at the executive level and release management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including Product Management, Design, and Quality Assurance — to ensure seamless product development and timely, high-quality delivery.
• Be forward-looking on customer needs and technology trends to architect solutions that serve a wide variety of enterprise use cases at scale.

Agentic AI & AI-Driven Engineering

• Drive the Agentic AI strategy for the engineering organization — identifying opportunities to embed autonomous AI agents across product workflows, developer tooling, and customer-facing capabilities.
• Lead the adoption of AI-assisted development practices — including AI code generation, automated testing, intelligent code review, and LLM-powered developer productivity tools — to meaningfully accelerate the engineering lifecycle.
• Architect and oversee the integration of AI/ML capabilities — including large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and multi-agent frameworks — into AppViewX products, particularly within the AIS (AI Security) product line.
• Stay at the forefront of Agentic AI developments (LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, OpenAI Assistants API, etc.) and evaluate their applicability to AppViewX's product and platform roadmap.
• Partner with Product Management to define AI-powered features that create meaningful differentiation and deliver measurable customer value.

Strategy & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with senior engineering leaders to formulate and execute comprehensive technology roadmaps aligned with company strategy and market direction.
• Collaborate across the organization to craft and deliver solutions that consistently exceed customer expectations.
• Drive the transition to feature-based, on-demand release models — enabling greater delivery velocity, release predictability, and customer alignment.
• Partner with Security, DevOps, and SRE teams to ensure platform reliability, security posture, and compliance standards are maintained at the highest level.

What We Require

Experience & Leadership

• 20+ years of progressive software engineering experience, with a significant portion in senior engineering leadership roles.
• Proven track record of leading and scaling high-performing engineering teams, with a strong focus on driving innovation, accountability, and results.
• Experience working in a product development company in the Application Security, Identity, or Infrastructure domain is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, build from the ground up, and deliver in fast-moving, high-growth environments.

Technical Depth

• Deep expertise in SaaS architecture, microservices, Kubernetes, MongoDB, and cloud-native application development.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Agentic AI frameworks and LLM integration — including LangChain, AutoGen, OpenAI APIs, RAG pipelines, and multi-agent orchestration patterns.
• Solid understanding of Platform Engineering principles — including internal developer platforms, GitOps, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), observability (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana), and developer experience (DevEx) optimization.
• Full working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies, software engineering principles, design patterns, and enterprise product development practices.
• Strong command of software engineering best practices — coding standards, code reviews, SCM, CI/CD, build processes, testing strategies, and production operations.
• Strong foundations in Data Structures, Algorithms, Problem-solving, and Computer Science fundamentals.
• Proponent of TDD and CI — capable of inspiring and motivating teams to adopt and sustain these practices.

Leadership & Communication

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills — with the ability to operate with clarity and conviction across engineering teams, executive leadership, and customers.
• Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills with a bias for action in fast-moving, high-stakes environments.
• Results-oriented with the ability to balance long-term strategic vision with near-term execution and delivery.
