Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital seeks a Digital Marketing Manager to support the planning and execution of digital marketing projects. This role is the connector that keeps digital initiatives moving forward, bringing together marketing, creative, technology, internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver engaging, effective digital experiences. Working onsite in our Grand Rapids Campus, the Digital Project Manager will oversee projects from intake through development and launch. This individual will collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager to manage timelines, priorities, resources and dependencies.  Highly organized, digitally savvy and service driven, this person will bring structure to complex projects, anticipate challenges and find smarter ways to help Mary Free Bed connect with the patients, families, referral sources and communities we serve.

Essential Job Responsibilities   

• Leads the full lifecycle of digital projects, from intake, discovery and requirements gathering, through development and launch.
• Takes a forward-thinking approach to digital project management by anticipating challenges, identifying opportunities and aligning marketing efforts with long-term organizational goals.
• Develops innovative strategies to improve the reach and impact of marketing assets, ensuring they are effectively leveraged across multiple platforms and campaigns.
• Analyzes emerging marketing, design and content trends, identifying opportunities to enhance creative execution and audience engagement. Translate business and marketing needs into clear project requirements and actionable work for digital and creative teams.
• Ensures projects stay on track, on time and on budget by effectively managing timelines, priorities and resources.
• Serves as a central point of contact between marketing, creative, digital and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment across all teams.
• Conducts project kickoff meetings, providing clear direction on objectives, creative vision and strategic goals.
• Evaluates and refines digital project workflows to improve efficiency, eliminate bottlenecks and streamline execution.
• Identifies opportunities to repurpose and optimize existing creative assets, ensuring they are effectively leveraged across multiple digital platforms.
• Works closely with digital team, designers, copywriters, videographers and external vendors to enhance creative production processes and drive higher-quality outputs.
• Conducts intake meetings with internal stakeholders to clarify objectives, expectations and strategic alignment before projects begin.
• Ensures stakeholders are informed about project status, timelines and potential roadblocks, making proactive adjustments as needed.
• Collaborates closely with the digital marketing manager to ensure workload distribution and deadlines are realistic, efficient and achievable.
• Communicates with external vendors, agencies and freelancers to ensure seamless project execution and high-quality deliverables.
• Organizes weekly project status meetings, providing transparency on key initiatives and identifying opportunities for cross-team collaboration.
• Provides regular reports on project efficiency, resource allocation and creative output, helping leadership make informed decisions.
• Develops creative solutions that enhance accessibility and inclusivity, ensuring digital projects and campaigns resonate with target audience.
• Partners with stakeholders to create digital assets that support accessibility best practices and ensure accessibility is considered throughout the planning, development and quality-assurance process.
• Stays current on digital marketing, user experience, accessibility, artificial intelligence and technology trends, identifying opportunities to strengthen Mary Free Bed’s digital presence.

Customer Service Responsibilities         

Demonstrate excellent customer service and standards of behaviors as well as encourages, coaches, and monitors the same in team members. This individual should consistently promote teamwork and direct communication with co-workers and deal discretely and sensitively with confidential information.

Responsibilities in Quality Improvement      

Contribute by identifying problems and seeking solutions. Promote patient/family satisfaction where possible; participates in departmental efforts to monitor and report customer service.

Essential Job Qualifications      

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business, Project Management or relevant work experience
• 3-5 years of experience as a project manager, preferably working with digital marketing, website or technology-enabled projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects from requirements gathering through development, testing, launch and optimization.
• Working knowledge of digital marketing channels and platforms, including websites, content management systems, email marketing, digital advertising and analytics.
• Familiarity with website development processes, including content management, UX/UI, quality assurance, responsive design, analytics and accessibility.
• Strong writing and proofreading skills
• Knowledgeable about marketing tools including print, video and digital
• Confident working collaboratively with marketers, designers, writers, developers, agencies and organizational leaders. Dynamic with high energy, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
• Extraordinary organizational skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Acute attention to detail and follow-through
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communications abilities
