Job Description
Live & Player Services (L&PS) is part of Ubisoft's Core Services organization and sits at the intersection of players, technology, and business. Its mission is to connect games and players through trusted, engaging, and seamless experiences across Ubisoft's ecosystem.
As VP, Live & Player Services, you will lead a transversal and globally distributed organization responsible for the platforms, services, and expertise that shape the player experience and maximise business impact. This role combines strategic leadership, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of player-facing digital capabilities (i.e. Ubisoft Connect, ecommerce, player engagement, live activation, personalization and player safety) to create value for both players and the business.
The successful candidate will stay ahead of industry, technology and regulatory trends, navigate evolving player, market and stakeholder expectations, and foster a service-oriented culture that earns adoption through the quality, value and competitiveness of its offerings.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
You will define and execute the long-term vision and strategy, acting as a strategic partner to business leaders, Publishing, Technology and external platform partners while aligning stakeholders around shared objectives.
Shape the evolution of Ubisoft’s player-facing services and capabilities, including Ubisoft Connect, live activation, player engagement, player trust & care, personalization, ecommerce, and partner ecosystem integration.
Anticipate industry, technology, and regulatory shifts and translate them into strategic opportunities and competitive advantage.
Drive prioritization and investment decisions to maximize long-term value creation.
Balance short-term business priorities with long-term strategic investments.
Business & Operational Excellence
Develop and maintain a clear and accessible portfolio of services with defined capabilities, ownership, and value propositions that is easy for partners to understand and navigate.
Own the performance, effectiveness, budget, and capability roadmap of Live & Player Services
Balance quality, delivery, and investment trade-offs across business priorities, platform opportunities, partner commitments and operational needs to maximize impact and return on investment
Ensure resources, capabilities, and investments are aligned with the highest-impact priorities across the portfolio.
Establish clear performance metrics and accountability mechanisms to drive operational excellence.
Organizational effectiveness
Position Live & Player Services as a strategic enabler of Ubisoft's player ecosystem, strengthening player relationships, commercial performance and partner value.
Shape and lead the continued evolution of Live & Player Services into a unified, globally integrated organization with a shared vision & culture.
Establish a cohesive operating model across player engagement, live activation, commerce, player trust & protection, with clear mandates and accountability.
Inspire, engage, and develop a globally distributed workforce by fostering an inclusive culture, aligning teams around a shared vision and objectives, and building strong leadership capabilities across the organization.
Build and develop a high-performing global organization, strengthening capabilities, expertise and career mobility across domain
Qualifications
Extensive experience in live operations, player services, digital platforms, or service-oriented organizations
Proven experience leading large multi-site and multidisciplinary teams,
Experience building & managing strategic relationships with external platforms (i.e. Xbox game pass, Epic, Luna, Microsoft Activision Blizzard…), ecommerce and technology partners.
Experience managing organizational transformations,
Business mindset with a strong understanding of complex production, the end-to-end value chain, and technical environments,
Strong understanding of live services, player-facing digital ecosystems (i.e. Ubisoft Connect type platforms), and ecommerce/platform operations
Strong financial acumen: budget ownership, ROI decisions,
Ability to simplify complexity, collaborate and influence stakeholders,
Ability to combine the rigor of large-scale enterprises with the agility and customer-centricity of fast-changing environments
Customer-obsessed leader who consistently champions player needs and experiences.
