Job Description

The Town of Stony Plain is currently accepting applications for a Casual Facility Attendant position available at Heritage Park.  This position requires the individual to perform a variety of tasks such as assisting with set up, take down, and monitoring of events, light administration duties, as well as janitorial and basic facility maintenance. The ideal candidate for this position will have a High School Diploma or equivalency (preferred), along with the ability to operate a variety of handheld and mechanical equipment as well as some basic knowledge of facility booking or event management.

Qualifications

We are seeking a candidate who:

• Provides exceptional customer service to event hosts, coworkers, and members of the public.
• Builds and maintains cooperative, positive working relationships with a diverse group of individuals.
• Demonstrates reliability, initiative, and a willingness to assist wherever needed.
• Can operate a variety of handheld and mechanical equipment.
• Can perform physical tasks, including repetitive lifting of objects weighing a minimum of 10 lbs.
• Adapt effectively to varying workloads and changing priorities.
• Has availability for a variety of shifts, with daytime availability preferred, and occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Can work a flexible schedule based on events, bookings, and facility needs.

In accordance with the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 955 Collective Agreement, this position offers a wage rate of $21.97 per hour. Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years old at the time of hire.
