A client with Kforce is seeking a Business Data Analyst IV to join their team in Mountain View, CA. Summary: We are looking for a hands-on Business Data Analyst contractor to join the Company Academy team, focused on expert readiness. You will partner closely with our training team, product managers, marketers, and other cross-functional partners to build out learning analytics that measure how effectively we prepare experts - and to tell the story behind the training. We are an exciting, growing, and fun team that works with industry-leading analytics tools, techniques, and best practices.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience with quantitative analysis
- Experience in any major dialect of SQL (we use MySQL and PostgreSQL)
- Experience with data visualization (we use Tableau for many of our business-facing dashboards, but we won't say no to a ggplot or two)
- Experience with Python or similar high-level languages
- Experience with R or similar statistical analysis software
- Solid communication skills: Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, HBase, and/or related MapReduce technologies
- Large-scale MPP systems such as Vertica or Redshift
- Tableau or similar BI software
- Nice to have:
- BS or MS in an appropriate quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Econometrics, Operations Research)
- Experience with learning analytics (training effectiveness, assessment performance, certification or readiness metrics) - and/or customer care metrics (quality, handle time, CSAT, or agent performance)
- Prefer someone who is willing to work pacific work time
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
