The Business System Specialist (BSS) serves as an expert user experience (UX) designer within Vegetation Management, partnering with business process owners, end users and Information Technology to translate complex business and technical requirements into intuitive user experiences. The incumbent leads end-to-end business process and UX design for Vegetation Management applications, such as OTR and One VM. In partnership with business process owners, the incumbent manages business process design by documenting current-state processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and coordinating the design of future-state workflows, roles and cross-functional handoffs to align business processes with the user experience and system capabilities. The incumbent uses user research, workflow analysis and usability testing to understand user needs; develops business process flows, user flows, wireframes, prototypes and design documentation to support development; and clearly presents design concepts and tradeoffs to stakeholders. Working with cross-functional teams, the incumbent aligns user needs with business priorities and technical constraints, supports implementation and user acceptance testing, and measures design impact through analytics and user feedback.
