Position Summary
The Operations Clerk serves as a critical link between warehouse operations, transportation providers, and customers. This role is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, supporting Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) processes, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring timely, compliant, and efficient movement of freight throughout the operation.

Shift: Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay: $19.85 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments while ensuring accuracy and compliance with customer requirements.
- Receive, review, and verify inbound shipment documentation and system transactions.
- Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing slips, manifests, and carrier paperwork.
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to process order fulfillment, inventory, and shipment transactions.
- Conduct regular yard inspections to verify trailer inventory, trailer locations, yard organization, and operational readiness.
- Monitor trailer status and communicate shipment readiness and pickup requirements to warehouse and transportation teams.
- Coordinate with third-party transportation providers regarding pickups, shipment status, delays, and transportation-related issues.
- Serve as a primary point of contact between customers, carriers, and warehouse operations to ensure smooth and timely shipment execution.
- Provide professional customer support regarding shipment status, receiving updates, and issue resolution.
- Support Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) operations by maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with FTZ procedures and documentation requirements.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through timely and accurate system transactions.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to track shipments, maintain operational logs, generate reports, and analyze performance trends.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with warehouse, inventory, transportation, customer service, and operations teams to achieve service and productivity goals.
Qualifications
Preferred Experience
- Two or more years of experience in warehousing, logistics, transportation, inventory control, shipping/receiving, or supply chain operations.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Experience communicating with customers, carriers, and transportation providers.
- Experience supporting Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) operations and compliance documentation is preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, sorting, filtering, reporting, and basic formulas.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, inbound receiving, and outbound shipping processes.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.

Role Purpose:
Provide clerical and administrative support to the assigned location
Key Accountabilities:
- Codes delivery manifests and prepares billing.
- Compiles statistical information from manifest data and prepares related report.
- Inputs delivery information into computer.
- Assists with dispatching as needed.
- Handles owner/operator settlement problems.
- Contacts customers to confirm delivery details.
- Checks postponements and cancellations against delivery manifest.
- Prepares purchase orders for signature.
- Answers telephones.
- Types correspondence for department managers.
- Maintains the department files.
Required Education and Experience:
- 1-2 years related experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
