AVP, Cash Management Sales Officer, Citi Commercial Bank

The Global Solution Sales (GSS) is responsible for originating, developing, and executing strategic Cash Management and Trade opportunities with multinational and large corporate clients. The role serves as Citi's solution advisor, partnering with Banking, Product Sales, and implementation teams to deliver complex, cross-border solutions that drive client growth and deepen relationships. The GSS will lead global solutioning efforts for strategic clients, identify revenue opportunities across Citi's network, and coordinate the delivery of integrated cash management, liquidity, payments, commercial cards, trade, and digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Client Coverage & Strategic Solutioning
- Serve as the primary Cash Management & Trade Service solution lead for assigned global and regional client portfolios.
- Develop deep understanding of clients' treasury operating models, working capital requirements, international expansion plans, and digital transformation priorities.
- Lead client discovery, needs assessment, solution design, proposal development, and executive presentations.
- Drive complex and large-scale treasury opportunities involving multiple countries, products, and stakeholders.
- Partner with regional and country teams to identify opportunities across Citi's global network.
Revenue & Business Development
- Deliver revenue, fee and sales goals across assigned client portfolios.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of new business opportunities.
- Drive sales wins and support commercialization of new products and capabilities.
- Increase wallet share through cross-sell of payments, liquidity management, commercial cards, trade finance and digital solutions.
- Lead strategic account planning and develop actionable client growth strategies.
- Drive sales wins and support commercialization of new products and capabilities.
Partnership & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with Banking Coverage, GNB, Product Management, Product Sales, Client Executives and Operations teams.
- Coordinate global sales activities and ensure consistency of client strategy across Citi's network.
- Facilitate collaboration among product specialists and regional stakeholders to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Support joint calling and executive engagement with senior client stakeholders.
Market Leadership
- Maintain deep expertise in treasury, payments, liquidity management, working capital optimization, digital assets, APIs, ERP integration, and emerging payment technologies.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients regarding industry trends, market developments, and treasury best practices.
- Contribute to thought leadership, client events, industry forums and sales enablement initiatives.
- Gather and share competitive intelligence and market insights.
Risk & Controls
- Ensure adherence to Citi policies, compliance requirements, AML/KYC obligations, and risk governance standards.
- Participate in client onboarding, governance reviews and approval processes where required.
- Support client risk reviews and regulatory requirements associated with complex treasury relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related discipline.
- Significant experience in Treasury Services, Cash Management, Transaction Banking, Corporate Banking or related financial services.
- Strong knowledge of liquidity management, payments, receivables, payables, commercial cards and working capital solutions.
- Demonstrated success in consultative selling and complex solution sales.
- Strong client-facing presentation and negotiation skills.
- Experience managing multinational corporate relationships.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple countries, products and stakeholders.
- Strong strategic account planning capabilities.
