Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician ensures safety while maintaining and repairing the extrusion equipment. Through a PM process the Maintenance Techs strive to keep equipment maintained and running to its optimal performance. They also troubleshoot day to day problems and break downs to get lines back up and running. The Maintenance Techs also takes responsibility for smaller fabrication projects as directed by the management team. They consistently demonstrate, promote and display behaviors aligned to the Oldcastle core values.
Job Responsibilities
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols
- Keeping equipment and work areas clean and organized
- Preform PM and scheduled maintenance on plant equipment
- Troubleshoot plant equipment problems and breakdowns
- Fabricate parts and equipment necessary to keep plant running efficiently
- Performs other various tasks as requested by leadership
Job Requirements
- High School or GED preferred
- Basic understanding of electricity and electrical circuits
- 1 year experience in an industrial maintenance facility
- Professional Personable, ability to work individually as well as with a team
- Comfortable rolling up sleeves to get stuff done
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar
- Ability to Lift, push or pull up to 50lbs
- Repetitive motion of the limbs
- Be able to bend, twist, squat, and reach
- Able to be comfortable in an excessive noise environment
- May be expose to inclement weather excessive heat or excessive cold
- Comfortable working with or near machinery, electricity power tools, fumes, chemicals and heights
- Stand and walk for long periods of time
Compensation
- The hourly pay rate is $30-$34/hr based on experiance
