TD SYNNEX’s European Digital Marketing Agency is looking for a hands-on Software Engineer to help build reliable services, integrations and user-facing features for our AI-enabled internal tools and workflows.

This role would be suited to a pragmatic engineer with a strong grounding in good software-engineering principles, who can independently deliver clearly defined features, while continuing to develop their expertise across AI, cloud and full-stack engineering.

You will combine strong engineering discipline with an open, collaborative approach, communicating clearly and translating technical considerations for different audiences.

You will work with technical and non-technical stakeholders across our European agency environment to turn ideas and business needs into secure, scalable and production-ready capabilities.

We’re not here to sell you a job. We’re here to invite you into a culture that values curiosity, celebrates diverse perspectives, and believes that great leadership starts with listening.

If you’re passionate about collaboration, building strong relationships, and delivering results with accountability and clear communication, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

Here’s a list of some of our perks, but what really sets us apart is the way we work together. We’re big on trust, transparency, and making space for moments that matter:

• Hybrid working.

• Private healthcare, matched pension, enhanced parental & family leave.

• “Moments that matter” paid time off (yes, even for your pet’s birthday).

• Four Business Resource Groups supporting inclusion and belonging.

• Clear progression paths and benchmarked salaries.

• Sustainability – we’re building a greener future. We’ve reduced energy consumption in our UK offices by 19.2% year-on-year – it’s not just a goal, it’s a commitment.

• A culture that values every voice and celebrates diverse perspectives.

• These values drive everything we do; they’re not just posters on the wall:

• Own it

• Grow and Win

• Dare to Go

• Do the Right Thing

We believe that when our values guide our actions, we build stronger teams, deeper relationships, and a future full of possibility.

We’re proud to be a Disability Confident employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If you need adjustments during the recruitment process, just ask.

What You'll be Doing

• Design, build, test and maintain backend services and APIs, primarily using Java.

• Develop accessible, user-facing features using TypeScript and React.

• Use Python for analytics, internal tooling and automation.

• Integrate backend services with foundation-model APIs and third-party agentic platforms.

• Maintain clear, reliable and type-safe contracts between backend and frontend components.

• Apply appropriate testing, validation, error handling, observability and fallback behaviour.

• Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation and the continued development of engineering standards.

• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to shape requirements and deliver production-ready solutions.

• Support continuous improvement by evaluating emerging technologies pragmatically and applying them where they add clear value.

What You'll Bring

• A degree in a relevant STEM discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Strong programming fundamentals in Java or another statically typed language.

• Experience with JavaScript and modern web-development fundamentals.

• A sound understanding of relational databases, data modelling and SQL.

• Experience using Git, Docker, automated testing and common software-development workflows.

• Familiarity with AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code or comparable tools.

• Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.

• The ability to take ownership of defined work, contribute to technical design and deliver to an agreed standard.

Desirable

• Experience with Spring Boot, TypeScript and React.

• Familiarity with AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, S3 and RDS, or comparable cloud services.

• Exposure to Snowflake, Redis or similar technologies.

• Experience working with foundation-model APIs, structured outputs, tool calling, retrieval-augmented generation or agentic frameworks.

• Understanding of API design, CI/CD, application observability and production support.

• Awareness of the security, privacy, reliability and cost considerations associated with AI-enabled applications.

• Experience working in a digital, marketing, agency or other fast-paced delivery environment.

Bring your curiosity and ambition and help shape the AI tools behind our European Digital Marketing Agency.
