Senior Quality Engineer II

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Quality Engineer II with 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing. This role will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions through effective test planning, execution, automation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end testing activities for assigned features, enhancements, and releases.
- Analyze business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to identify risks, gaps, and test scenarios.
- Design, develop, and execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end test cases.
- Validate backend data and business logic using SQL queries.
- Identify, document, track, and verify defects through resolution.
- Investigate production issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform root cause analysis.
- Utilize AI-powered tools to enhance testing efficiency, documentation, analysis, and quality outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and Support teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools to streamline test documentation, reporting, and QA knowledge management.
- Promote an AI-First Quality Engineering approach by improving QA processes through intelligent testing practices.
- Mentor junior team members and promote a quality-first mindset.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with strong manual testing expertise.
- Strong experience in requirement analysis, test execution, defect management, and production support.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and database validation, including PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Experience testing web-based and enterprise applications.
- Exposure to AI-powered tools and prompt engineering concepts to improve testing productivity and quality.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and software testing best practices.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the US Healthcare domain.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted tools for test case creation, documentation, analysis, and reporting.
- Experience mentoring and guiding QA team members.
- Experience testing data-intensive, analytics, or reporting applications.
- Knowledge of test automation concepts and quality engineering practices.
