The College of Nursing at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Staff Assistant. The successful candidate will:
- Request classroom space from faculty.
- Create Typhon rosters for the undergraduate program.
- Receive matriculated student lists for undergraduate cohorts.
- Create individual email login credentials for undergraduate students to access Typhon.
- Send initial SLAP invitation emails to undergraduate cohorts through Typhon.
- Collect student files through designated email.
- Enter document expiration dates into individual student Typhon accounts.
- Relay clinical document clearance information to students.
- Maintain electronic student files accessible to staff.
- Run weekly expiration reports through Typhon and notify students of missing or expired documents affecting clinical clearance.
- Schedule and assist with Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing candidate interviews.
- Receive interview lists and schedules from the Program Director.
- Contact applicants by email or phone to schedule interview times.
- Create Zoom links for interviews.
- Send Zoom links to applicants and the Program Director.
- Relay applicant interview or admission declinations to the Program Director.
- Take meeting minutes and/or record Admissions and ELP committee meetings in Teams.
- Distribute minutes to committee members for review.
- Create Teams meeting links.
- Send committee meeting invitations to committee members.
