Senior Product Manager, Consumer & Engagement
Berry Street · New York City
Berry Street is building on the convergence of AI, GLP-1s, and the consumerization of healthcare, and using insurance to make life-changing metabolic care as accessible as possible. Our platform connects patients with 2,000+ clinicians and AI tools to treat obesity, diabetes/prediabetes, cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, maternal health, and dozens of other conditions, in partnership with major health plans, health systems, and care management companies across all 50 states.
We launched in 2023, have served hundreds of thousands of patients, and are Series B, backed by Khosla, Northzone, FJ Labs, and the founders of Revolut, Grow Therapy, and Spring Health.
The Role
Healthcare has historically been bad at the things great consumer companies are great at: making a product people actually want to come back to. We're changing that, and we need a Senior PM to own the consumer experience end to end.
You'll own a meaningful slice of the patient experience, with a focus on acquisition-to-activation, engagement, and retention. You'll work directly with our Head of Product to turn strategy into a sequenced roadmap, then get deep into the details of shipping it. You'll have real ownership, direct access to leadership, and a wide scope with little process and a lot of room to make your mark. It's the kind of seat where you learn how a company is actually built.
This is a strong fit if you're a builder who wants to run a business someday. You'll make decisions with incomplete information, own outcomes rather than outputs, and see how growth, product, clinical operations, and partnerships fit together in a fast-scaling company.
What you’ll work on
- The patient journey from first touch through long-term engagement, including onboarding, activation, habit formation, retention and cross-selling of services
- Identifying and sizing the highest-leverage growth and engagement opportunities, then running fast experiments to prove them out
- Simplifying the consumer experience, with a bias toward clarity, delight, and usefulness
- Using AI to make the product feel personal and effortless, through matching, search, guidance, decision support, and smarter lifecycle moments
- Prototyping quickly and using working artifacts, not lengthy PRDs, to align product, design, engineering, ops, and leadership
- Partnering day-to-day with engineering and design to ship fast, with tight feedback loops and minimal thrash
- Contributing to company-level strategy and helping shape what an AI-native product organization looks like in healthcare
- Partnering on integration thinking as we add new products and systems to the platform
Requirements
- Consumer product experience. 4-5+ years in product management, ideally with time spent on consumer, growth, engagement, or retention.
- A founder's mindset. You act like an owner, take responsibility for the metric rather than just the roadmap, and are energized by ambiguity, speed, and wearing multiple hats.
- AI-forward. You've built AI tools and/or shipped AI-powered features, and you have real intuition for where AI creates durable value versus surface-level novelty.
- Strong product judgment. You move comfortably between strategist and doer, and operate with high autonomy in a low-process environment.
- Taste in simplification. You reduce noise rather than add it, and can prototype and communicate ideas clearly without leaning on long documents.
- Collaborative and direct. Low ego, high conviction. You engage directly, challenge constructively, and help the team decide and move.
- In-office in NYC. This role is based full-time at our Madison Square Park office.
Why this role is interesting
- Real ownership of a consumer product with tens of thousands of patients and strong traction
- A rare chance to apply consumer growth and engagement playbooks to a high-impact healthcare problem
- Founder-level exposure: you'll work closely with leadership and see the whole business, not just a feature backlog
- A team that values speed, clarity, judgment, and collaboration
- The opportunity to help build an AI-native product org from the ground up
