Hours: 9 hours per week - one hour in the morning Monday to Friday (8am or earlier start) and one hour at roughly 6.30pm Monday to Thursday

Contract: Permanent

Support to aid and assist with independence in daily life

Role Requirements

You will be required to provide support with:

food and drink
personal care
catheter care
changing incontinence pads and monitoring skin integrity
transfers, if needed
essential cleaning
changing and making the bed
taking out rubbish
doing laundry

About the Person You Will Support

The client has asthma and COPD which can leave them breathless. They also have polycystic ovary syndrome, post-COVID-19 syndrome, vitamin D deficiency, a degenerative spinal condition and a catheter.
The client transfers with a transfer board, and requires support on the bed with rolling. They mobilise around the home with a wheelchair.

The client used to enjoy hiking and now works for a support group who empower and advocate for parents, carers, and professionals who support children and young people with SEND. This work is important to them.
