Route Relief Operator

Job Summary:
The primary function of the Route Relief Operator position is to act as a fill-in for the regular route driver in the transportation and delivery of products to HP Hood, LLC customers. This position requires a current valid CDL A, a satisfactory MVR (Motor Vehicle Record), an up-to-date medical card, and the ability to perform manual labor.
Schedule:
- 4-day work week.
- Days off vary per week.
- Open Availability Required.
- Weekends/holidays required.
- Early morning start times (1 AM-3 AM).
- May be called on short notice to cover route emergencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Route Relief Operators will be expected to learn and cover all routes including depot locations.
- Responsible for the safe operation of the Company vehicle while complying with all company, State and Federal DOT regulations.
- Must represent the Company in a courteous, ethical and professional manner.
- Deliver all products ordered in a timely manner and advise the Distribution Supervisor of any recommendations for improvements or problems needing attention daily.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team while supporting the Distribution Department.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current, valid CDL A (1-3 years’ driving experience preferred).
- Reading & writing proficiency (English language)

- Good communication skills.
- Multi-tasked Individual.
- Execute assigned duties with minimal supervision.
- Perform assigned duties satisfactorily and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean & safe work environment.

- Ability to perform manual labor tasks required by position.
