QC Manager C - Civil

To plan, manage, organize and oversee all quality related issues in the project and to ensure implementation of the Project Quality Plan for small Projects (Civil/Mechanical or Electrical). 

Or as a QC Manager for one discipline at Mega Project reporting to all overall QC Managers.

• Ensure the project performance meet client’s and Project Contractual requirements regarding the Quality Standards.
• Manage overall testing and inspection activities in coordination with the construction, also monitor and analyze the results of tests and measurements, maintain critical records and documents related to quality assurance. 
• Ensure that project Inspection and Test plans are developed and reviewed; and that procedures are documented and their implementation monitored.
• Monitor all periodic performance reports prepared by QC Staff and prepare the QC Section's Performance Report.
• Monitor and quality assure all services and work-products delivered by the site QC staff in compliance with established QA & Corporate Quality Department policies and procedures.
• Provide professional development and perform periodic performance appraisals for QC Staff.
• Manage the overall inspection and testing schedule according to construction schedule.
• Liaise with Project Manager, Construction Managers, and Project Control Manager to coordinate inspection /testing according to construction activities.
• Coordinate with corporate QA & QC Managers to prepare Project Quality plan. 
• Monitor the approved site QC Plan during the construction till the end of project.
• Liaise with Project Manager, and Construction Manager to clarify requirements and criteria for inspection.
• Liaise with Sub-contractor's representative for field inspection and test schedules.
• Verify implementation of Project Quality Plan for conformance to requirements to ISO 9001.
• Coordinate production/issue of Quality Management Procedures to satisfy ISO 9001 and the project requirements and request production/revision where necessary.
• Review documentation including sub-contractors’ to ensure quality requirements are documented prior to issue for approval. 
• Review final handover documentation before the project handover.
• Ensure the Project Quality Plan and Quality Management Procedures are being implemented and are effective.
• Coordinate with Corporate QA Manager for developing and maintaining an audit schedule to be approved by the Project & construction Manager against which audit is to be executed.
• Conduct and reports on audits, external and internal, and initiates recommendations to solve quality problems.
• Participate in meetings with sub-contractors and ensures the same observe project quality requirements.
• Coordinate with the Site Construction Manager of all quality issues and chair the QA/QC site weekly meetings with the projects sub-contractors QC personnel. 
• Review the Project & Client specifications and undertake relevant training to the site QC inspectors. 
• Ensure all quality control documentation is compiled and competed for as-built hand over through the QC turnover engineer and or the QC Document controller. 
• Issue/approve NCR as necessary and insure closure of issued NCR’s in a timely manner.
• Issue QC Monthly Report and submit to the Corporate Quality Department.
• Ensure that employee is working according to the company HSE policies and regulations, and fully aware of his job risk assessment and environmental aspects.

Report to the overall QC Managers (if it is a Mega and Multi discipline project). Or to the Senior QC Manager/ QC Manager at the Head Office.
