Your Role and Impact

As Tax Planning Manager, you will help shape and execute the global tax strategy for a U.S.-headquartered multinational industrial manufacturing company. You will partner across Tax, Treasury, Legal, Finance, and business teams to support strategic transactions, global cash deployment, and tax-efficient growth initiatives. This high-visibility role offers the opportunity to apply technical tax expertise to complex business decisions, helping drive profitable growth, business transformation, and disciplined risk management.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and execute tax planning strategies that advance business objectives, minimize tax exposure, and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.

· Lead tax analysis and support for legal-entity rationalization, global cash deployment, repatriation, intercompany financing, and cross-border restructuring initiatives.

· Model tax impacts of acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, financing arrangements, and other strategic transactions.

· Perform tax due diligence, support transaction execution, and coordinate tax considerations during post-close integration.

· Prepare and review tax disclosures, workpapers, and supporting documentation for U.S. federal income tax filings related to planning transactions.

· Partner with Tax, Treasury, Legal, Finance, Accounting, and external advisors on tax forecasting, global cash management, and international tax planning initiatives.

· Research complex U.S. federal and international tax matters and translate technical conclusions into clear, practical recommendations for business leaders.

· Identify, assess, document, and help mitigate tax risks; support audit responses and improve tax processes, controls, documentation, and technology-enabled solutions.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.

· Five or more years of progressive experience in U.S. federal income tax, including corporate tax planning, technical tax analysis, and tax-position documentation.

· Strong knowledge of U.S. international tax, including controlled foreign corporations, net CFC tested income, Subpart F income, foreign tax credits, base erosion and anti-abuse tax, withholding taxes, and cross-border restructuring.

· Ability to interpret complex tax rules and communicate practical recommendations, risks, opportunities, and implementation requirements to finance and business stakeholders.

· Experience partnering with Tax, Treasury, Legal, Finance, Accounting, and external advisors on transactions, restructurings, or tax-planning initiatives.

· Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including the ability to develop clear analysis, models, and executive-ready presentations.

Preferred Qualifications

· CPA, J.D., Master’s degree in Taxation, or LL.M. in Taxation.

· Experience with a Big Four accounting firm, law firm, or U.S.-headquartered multinational company.
