\About the Job
We are looking for a hands-on Senior Engineer (Market Level 5, hybrid, Polanco Office, Mexico City) to support the Product Creation digital tools ecosystem and drive AI-enabled solutions across business workflows and engineering processes.
This role sits within the Digital Go To Market Tools engineering team .The engineer works across key Product Creation applications (Trasix, FlexPLM / PLM, and the BOM Application), focusing on application support, integrations, and AI-driven optimization.
The ideal candidate is technically strong, can operate across multiple systems, has hands-on FlexPLM experience, and has applied AI to real-world engineering or business problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and enhance Product Creation applications (Trasix, FlexPLM / PLM, BOM Application)
- Support FlexPLM implementation activities, including system setup, configuration, customization, and upgrades
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration, and workflow issues, including FlexPLM performance tuning
- Design and support integrations across systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and event-driven patterns (including FlexPLM to SAP and other enterprise systems)
- Maintain data integrity and consistency across PLM and connected systems
- Develop and refine FlexPLM workflows, templates, and reports for product development processes
- Provide technical support during go-live and post-deployment phases
- Identify and implement AI-driven improvements to workflows, support processes, and productivity
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Improve system reliability, monitoring, and operational support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
- Experience in enterprise application engineering, integrations, or support
- Strong understanding of APIs, distributed systems, and cloud environments
- Experience working in cross-functional, Agile teams
- Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills
FlexPLM Experience
- 4+ years of Hands-on experience with FlexPLM modules such as Line Planning, Tech Pack, and Color & Material Management
- Experience with FlexPLM configuration, customization, and version upgrades
- Working knowledge of Windchill architecture, as FlexPLM is built on it
- Strong grasp of product lifecycle processes in retail or fashion, including design-to-delivery workflows, BOMs, and vendor collaboration
- Experience with FlexPLM data migration, workflow design, and system performance tuning
- Experience integrating PLM with ERP systems such as SAP, and with design and specification tools
Technical Skills
- Java, JSP, XML, and SQL (used in the FlexPLM backend); Python and/or Node.js
- REST APIs and microservices; SOAP APIs and middleware tools
- SQL, No-SQL, and Graph databases
- Azure and/or AWS
- Familiarity with CI/CD, logging, and monitoring tools
Mandatory AI Requirement
Hands-on experience applying AI tools or models in real-world scenarios is required. The candidate must be able to:
- Use AI to improve engineering productivity or automate workflows
- Evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs
- Identify practical AI use cases within enterprise systems, including PLM and product data
Experience with prompt engineering, AI-assisted development, workflow automation, or building agentic AI on product data is strongly expected.
