Job Purpose: The Mines Manager/Site Head is responsible for overseeing all aspects of mine operations, including production, safety compliance, resource management, and statutory approvals. This role ensures efficient planning and execution of mining activities while aligning with environmental and regulatory standards. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, HR, and external regulatory bodies, to optimize performance, manage costs, and drive innovation for operational excellence.
The Mines Manager is entrusted with the comprehensive oversight and direction of all mine operations, ensuring stringent adherence to safety standards, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Tasked with strategically deploying resources, including equipment and personnel, they spearhead drilling, blasting, and coal seam removal activities while instilling a pervasive culture of safety among both employees and contractors.
