Sr. Group Lead – GIS / Mapping Operations

Job Level: L2 – B3
Location: Hyderabad, India
Employment: Full-Time
Shift: Flexible to work in a 24x7 environment

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Group Lead – GIS/Mapping Operations to lead large-scale operations and drive service delivery, customer experience, people management, and process excellence. The role requires strong leadership experience within the GIS/Mapping domain and the ability to manage Managers, Team Leaders, and a large analyst workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the program and team to achieve operational goals and objectives.
  • Manage daily operations for a large team of 250+ analysts.
  • Provide functional support and direction to Managers and Team Leaders.
  • Monitor performance of line Managers and provide regular coaching and guidance.
  • Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.
  • Drive customer experience while optimizing operational costs.
  • Contribute to short- and long-term strategic business goals.
  • Focus on talent retention and employee satisfaction.
  • Identify training requirements and support capability development.
  • Coordinate with internal support functions and key stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives using Lean / Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Ensure process-level compliance with applicable quality and operational standards.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Full-time Graduate.
  • 12+ years of overall work experience preferred.
  • 4–8+ years of Operations Management experience.
  • Minimum 2+ years of leadership experience in the Mapping domain.
  • Minimum 18 months of GIS (Geographical Information System) domain experience.
  • Strong exposure to GIS / Mapping operations.
  • Experience managing large-scale operations and teams.
  • Strong knowledge of workforce management, quality tools, and operational processes.
  • Strong analytical, logical, conflict-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer-service orientation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office / Microsoft 365, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong English communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Willingness to work in rotational shifts / a 24x7 environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP / Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience with process compliance standards such as COPC and related quality frameworks.
  • Experience leading large GIS/Mapping delivery programs.
