The Fabrication Support team at DTU Nanolab is seeking one to two Process generalist for permanent positions.
As a Process Generalist in the Fabrication Support team, you will be working in a highly advanced cleanroom environment. In this role, you will support and advise students and researchers at DTU and external users on fabrication processes, as well as train users in the operation of state-of-the-art semiconductor processing equipment. You will also collaborate closely with industrial partners to realize their devices, designing and executing complete fabrication processes to meet customer requirements.The job
A significant part of your working day will be spent in the DTU Nanolab cleanroom. We are looking for a person who already has substantial experience in advanced micro-fabrication in a cleanroom environment You should enjoy helping and teaching students and other facility users to operate advanced tools. You have great attention to detail and a structured approach to developing and fine-tuning fabrication processes.Our expectations of you
We expect you to hold a Master's degree or PhD in Physics, Micro/Nanotechnology, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline with at least 3 years’ experience in semiconductor fabrication. We also expect that you are already skilled in essential nano- and microfabrication techniques such as

UV lithography
Thin film deposition
Deep reactive ion etching
Scanning electron microscopy

We also expect that you

Can work independently on given tasks
Will systematically document process development results
Enjoy working on projects alone, but also in cooperation with other team members
Are fluent in English

Comfortable wearing specialized personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
Able to respond promptly and appropriately in emergency situations, including evacuations.

Confident working with potentially hazardous chemicals and gases while following established safety protocols and procedures.

The appointment will be based on the collective agreement for academic employees with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC).
In addition, supplements can be negotiated in accordance with DTU’s salary structure for academic staff employed in technical-administrative positions at DTU (AC TAP): www.inside.dtu.dk/en/human-resources/during-employment/salary/salary-structures.
The position is a full-time position. Starting date is 1 January 2026 (or according to mutual agreement).
