Its mission is to energize and sustain Jewish life and leadership throughout Greater Phoenix, in Israel, and around the world.

Phoenix is the fifth-largest city in the United States, with more than 5 million people in the metro area. It offers an active outdoor lifestyle, with sunshine most of the year, miles of trails, and desert beauty that invites a healthy, energized way of living. The region also has a vibrant arts and cultural scene, major league sports, and a growing food and music culture. Strong industries in technology, finance, healthcare, and real estate, along with varied housing options, draw people at every stage of life, from young professionals and families to those beginning a new chapter in retirement. Phoenix is one of the fastest growing Jewish communities in the U.S., currently more than 110,000 Jews call Greater Phoenix home.

CJP’s work reaches across Jewish life in the region. It includes annual community giving, endowment and planned giving, community relations and security coordination, and strategic grantmaking and programming. In Fiscal Year 2025, CJP raised $4.6 million through its annual campaign, targeted programs, and other designated funds, and manages nearly $113 million in Foundation assets. A team of 25 professionals supports an operating budget of just under $10 million.
