As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Lobby Ambassador in Harrisburg, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.89 / Hour

1. 1. Age Requirement:

      • All candidates must be at least 21 years of age (C101). This requirement is in place to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards applicable to our industry.

   2. Experience Requirements:

      • Candidates must meet one of the following experience criteria:
        • A minimum of 1 year of law enforcement experience (C108).
        • A minimum of 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience.
        • A minimum of 3 years of general security experience.

   3. Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)
      Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing employee access badges.

   4. Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)
      Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets for daily tasks. This includes basic software applications, email communication, and data entry.

   5. CPR Certification (B205)
      Candidates are required to possess a valid CPR certification. This certification must be current and recognized by a reputable organization.

   6. Customer Service Experience (B219)
      Candidates should have a minimum of [insert years] years of customer service experience. This includes direct interaction with customers, handling inquiries, and resolving issues effectively.

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional customer service at the front desk of a financial institution by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and security-related policies.
• Greet employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel; verify authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate entry records in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor lobby activity, visitor access, alarms, cameras, and communication systems from a stationary front-desk post; report unusual activity through established channels.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, courteous, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures when appropriate.
• Maintain a professional front-desk presence that helps to deter unauthorized access while protecting confidential information and directing visitors appropriately.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
