Peninsula Post Acute is seeking an organized, dependable, and proactive Staffing Coordinator / Scheduler to join our team. This key role supports our nursing department by ensuring appropriate staffing coverage, maintaining employee scheduling records, and helping create a positive and efficient work environment. What You'll Do
- Create and maintain nursing department schedules to ensure adequate staffing coverage.
- Serve as the primary contact for staffing needs, schedule changes, call-offs, and position availability.
- Maintain accurate employee records related to hiring, status changes, and separations.
- Assist staff with timecards, leave requests, schedule adjustments, and day-off requests.
- Partner with the Director of Nursing and Human Resources to support modified duty assignments and staffing needs.
- Track attendance, tardiness, call-offs, and staffing trends.
- Maintain current employee contact information and staffing records.
- Coordinate applicant inquiries and assist with interview scheduling.
- Ensure staffing practices align with facility policies, budget goals, and resident census needs.
- Support department operations with additional administrative duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Previous scheduling, staffing coordination, healthcare administration, or related experience preferred.
- Experience in a skilled nursing or healthcare environment is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and scheduling systems.
- Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with leadership and staff.
