Job Purpose:
The Financial Analyst Intern will support the Finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, assisting with accounting processes, and providing analytical support to management. The role offers exposure to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, financial controlling, and cross-functional collaboration within the organization. The intern will contribute to process improvement initiatives while ensuring effective communication with internal stakeholders and shared service teams.

In this Financial Analyst Trainee position
Accounts Payable (AP) Support
- Perform supplier account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Liaise with Operations teams and vendors to resolve invoice, purchase order, and payment discrepancies.
- Assist in monitoring outstanding supplier balances and ensuring timely resolution of reconciling items.
- Support month-end closing activities related to Accounts Payable.
- Maintain accurate documentation and filing of supplier-related records.
Accounts Receivable (AR) Support
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Monitor incoming customer payments and ensure accurate allocation of receipts.
- Liaise with the Global Service Centre (GSC) to obtain remittance information and bank details for unidentified funds received.
- Assist in resolving payment allocation discrepancies and customer account queries.
- Support collection and cash application processes when required.
Financial Analysis & Controlling
- Assist the CFO with financial analysis and reporting tasks.
- Support budget monitoring, variance analysis, and profitability reviews.
- Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses as required.
- Assist in identifying process improvements and cost-control opportunities.
- Support internal control and compliance-related activities.
Business Partnership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Operations, Customer Service, Sales, and other departments to ensure effective problem resolution.
- Promote teamwork and collaboration across departments.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Backup & Administrative Support
- Serve as backup support for selected finance activities during team member absences.
- Assist with general finance administration, reporting, and documentation.
- Support audit requests by preparing reconciliations and relevant supporting documents.

Education
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Skills & Competencies

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
