Tips from our recruiters
“Good preparation before any interview is key. It’s not about having a super polished answer to all the questions but preparing responses for some questions in advance will help you build confidence. It will also decrease any anxiety that may impact your performance during an interview.”
The interview process
In preparation for your interview, we recommend that you learn more about ASML by browsing our website, connecting with us via our social media and reading relevant articles. In addition, you can learn more about life at ASML and what our different departments do.
Your second interview
If you’re invited to continue with the interview process, you may be asked to complete a talent exploration questionnaire before your second interview. The outcome of the questionnaire is purely used as a conversation starter. During the second interview, we focus on your drivers, your ambitions and how you match with the ASML culture. This interview typically takes place on-site, giving you a chance to meet in person with your interviewers and get a feel of our work environment.
If your resume matches the job requirements and your application is selected, you’ll be invited to your first interview at ASML. The interview process will vary depending on the job you’re applying for, as well as the region. The first interview is usually a virtual meeting where we discuss your educational and professional experience, as well as your motivation for applying.
- Your first interview
- Evaluate and decide
If the interviews are successful and both sides are excited, we’re ready to make you a job offer. Depending on the country you are applying in, a pre-employment screening may be part of the hiring process. In case you’re not selected, we’ll provide you with feedback, as soon as possible.
Getting an offer
Following the interview process, it’s time for both sides to evaluate and decide. After careful consideration, the team will make a decision and notify you as soon as possible. The same goes for you, how did you experience the interviews? Are you excited to join us?
- Tips from our recruiters
- “Do some research. Prepare questions on the role and its responsibilities beforehand. This will give you a better understanding of the position and shows the interviewers your motivation and interest for the specific job.”
- “Make sure to listen carefully to the questions. What is it exactly that the interviewer would like to know? Make sure to answer in a comprehensive and concise way. It’s ok to ask a clarifying question, to take some time before responding, and even to admit that you don’t know something. Authenticity will make you stand out and better connect with the interviewers.”
